Human Resorces (Administration)



JOB SUMMARY

At Mamujee, our people are tremendously important to us. This means our Human Resources team has to live up to some very high expectations in terms of recruitment, training, developing and retaining employees. As a member of this team, you will play an important part in building the sort of firm we want to be, with the sort of people we want to work with.

As a Human Resources Officer guide and manage the overall provision of Human Resources services, policies, and programs for the including but not limited to; recruiting and staffing; organizational departmental planning, performance management and improvement of systems; organization development; employment and compliance to regulatory concerns regarding employees; employee on boarding, development, needs assessment, and training; policy development and documentation; employee relations; compensation and benefits administration; employee safety, welfare, wellness and health; employee services and counseling.

You are expected to develop Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented; high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity, and standards; goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce that support the achievement of the organization's business goals.


Duties

  • Ensure that you oversee the implementation of Human Resources programs, Identify opportunities for improvement and resolve problems.

  • Ensure that you conduct a continuing study of all Human Resources policies, programs, and practices to keep management informed of new developments and suggest ideas that will resolve any problems and discuss them with management for implementation.

  • Oversee the development of department goals, objectives, and systems in alignment with company goals and discuss with the heads of department the implement a Human Resources strategic plan to achieve it.

  • Ensure that you establish HR departmental measures that support the accomplishment of the company's strategic goals and manage the preparation and maintenance of such reports as are necessary to carry out the functions of the department. Also Prepare periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested, for filing and to track strategic goal accomplishment.

  • Ensure that you improve, develop and administer programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the company.

  • Ensure that you develop, manage and maintain the Human Resources sections of the company website, particularly recruiting, culture, and company information; and the employee Intranet, as it develops.

  • Ensure that you develop and utilize the Human Resources Information Systems(HRIS) to eliminate administrative tasks, empower employees, and meet the other needs of the company.

  • Effective rota management of the HR administration team, ensuring appropriate cover and within budget, including holiday and absence reporting


Training

  • Ensure that you coordinate all Human Resources training programs, to provide necessary education and materials to managers and employees including workshops, manuals, employee handbooks, and standardized reports.


Recruitment

  • Ensure that you improve where necessary develop and establish the standard recruiting and hiring practices and procedures necessary to recruit and hire a superior workforce.

  • Ensure that you oversee the success of interviews by management and various position candidates; whether you are part of the interview team for position finalists or not.

  • Ensure that you oversee or attend or chair (in whatever capacity you are involved) any employee selection committees or meetings when they arise.


Employee Relations

  • Ensure that you improve existing or formulate, and recommend new Human Resources policies and objectives for the company on any topic associated with employee relations and employee rights.

  • Ensure that you partner with management to communicate Human Resources policies, procedures, programs, and laws.

  • Ensure that you develop and recommend employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation. Conducts periodic surveys to measure employee satisfaction and employee engagement.

  • Ensure that you coach and train managers in their communication, feedback, recognition, and interaction responsibilities with the employees who report to them in order to create a good working environment and overcome multi culture communication breakdown among employees.

  • Ensure that you conduct investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth and oversee the disciplinary procedure where need arises or counseling of the concerned parties.

  • Ensure that you improve the existing and monitor and advise managers and supervisors in the progressive discipline system of the company.

  • Ensure that you also monitor the implementation of a performance improvement process with non-performing employees.

  • Ensure that you review, guide, and approve management recommendations for employment terminations to ensure that the law is followed to avoid unnecessary law suits.

  • Ensure that you review employee appeals through the company complaint procedure.


Law

  • Ensure company compliance with all existing governmental and labor legal and government reporting requirements including any related to the Department of Labor, worker compensation, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and so forth. Maintains minimal company exposure to lawsuits.

  • Ensure that in liaison with the management you direct the preparation of information requested or required for compliance with laws. Ensure management approval is done before all information is submitted for compliance.

  • Ensure that you balance and protect the interests of the company and employees in accordance with company Human Resources policies and governmental laws and regulations. While Minimizing risk.


Human Resources Manager Job Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, recruitment, organization development, employee relations, safety, employee engagement, and employee development.

  • Better than average written and spoken communication skills.

  • Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop HR department.

  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a knowledgeable resource to the executive management team that provides overall company leadership and direction.

  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include knowledge of Excel and skills in Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).

  • General knowledge of various employment laws and practices and experience working with a labor courts.

  • Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other Human Resources recognition and engagement programs and processes.
