Production Manager (Production)

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

---

General and Administrative

• Maintain professionalism, reflect the company’s commitment to quality in the department, continuous improvement, equality, openness and respect for all employees in their respective positions and employees under your supervision.

• Supervise the Production Team to produce and prioritize jobs and, when necessary, reorganize to meet deadline changes and updates.

• Comply with all OSHA safety requirements.

• Maintain production control records as per GMP guidelines and provide information to the departments you correspond with to meet their schedules and operating plans.

• Ensure the completion of all duties with a minimum of waste and abuse to equipment.

• Ensure employee safety training is conducted as required by Company Policy and Overall responsibility for all aspects of Production area hygiene, environmental including health and safety.  

• Create working procedures for every subsection in your department and get them approved by the Management Representative. And make sure that all the employees are conversant with their working procedures.

• Ensure Company policies & procedures are followed in your department.

• Meet all assigned goals and assist others in accomplishing their goals.

• Provide a positive, motivating example for employees.

• Conduct training or authorize training of employees in your department from the concerned person.

• Ensure evaluation of employee work performance, recommending promotion, salary increase and disciplinary action in the department are conducted accordingly and liaise with the Human Resource department to initiate disciplinary measures according to company policy when needed.

• Maintain a safe work environment and ensure the maintenance and upkeep of the physical location.

Production Operations

---

• Meet all commitments through the production of timely, efficient and high quality products and service maximizing the production efficiency through teamwork and innovation.

• Update and maintain production schedule and organize workflow according to workload to meet delivery schedule and to complete assigned jobs.

• Maintain production control records as per GMP guidelines and provide information to correspondent departments, and management with regard to delivery. Schedule, plan and conduct Production Meetings, Prepare, update, and communicate the production schedule to all employees working under you to help them meet the set goals.

• Monitor quality, accuracy, and timeliness of all orders to ensure order commitments are met through production of high quality material that meets customer delivery expectations and ensure that operations follow the companies standards, policies and practices

• Ensure preventative maintenance of all production equipment in the department.

You are also responsible for;

• Planning, execution, Manpower controlling by checking weekly Manpower distribution and schedule to run all required machines.

• Managing all Technical issues during production process.

• Capacity Planning / Raw Material & Manpower Planning, monitoring and controlling Process Parameters

• Initiating the job card for the mold maintenance and machine maintenance and must ensure job card has been closed on time.

• Review of engineering and technical drawing for new moulds and spare parts design in consultation with the maintenance department.

• Providing mould and machine technical specification required by mould supplier for new products in consultation with the maintenance department.

• Conducting daily Audit in production operation of all mould running in the machine. Ensure that all moulds run as per validation settings.

• Developing and maintaining the procedure for Before Mold loading, During Loading, After Loading and after unloading through the check list and Controlling the mold loading and unloading time to get the better productivity

• Maintaining the Raw material consumption, Master batch, Packing Materials and sharing the stock level to the purchaser for further procurement

• Investigating and making permanent solution for the repeated and unexpected issues happened in the production floor through corrective action report.

• Recording the spare changed and controlling the ordering of spare should not exceed the minimum quantity.

• Initiation and execution of Mold trial, New Machine Trial, Process improvement, Plastic Raw material selection and Master batch selection

• Knowledge on implementation of Quality Standards (PPAP, FMEA, SPC etc,)

Working Conditions:

---

• Standing for prolonged periods of time - up to 8 hours or more per day.

• Frequent lifting of objects up to 50 lbs.

• Noise level is usually moderate to loud.

• Fast-paced environment, subject to numerous schedule and priority changes and short notice activity.
